De-stress and relax

De-stress and relax

Tips to release your stress and tensed up body while you are sitting at your desk.
You may not have much time to get up and walk off those aches and pains.
Then, some of these tips may help you relax your body.

1) Raise your shoulders and try and touch your ears. Hold this position for a few seconds.
Do this about 10 times or until your shoulder feels less tense.

2) Shake your wrist for at least 30 seconds.

3) Breathe in and hold your breath for a few seconds. Then exhale slowly. Repeat this 5 times.

4) Tense your whole body - clench your fist, screw up your face, close your eyes
-hold this position for a few seconds, then relax. ( Warning - you may be mistaken for going
cuckoo! So maybe you should do it while your other working mates are not around)

5) Focus on each corner of the wall in your office/home. This helps to relax the eyes.

6) Rub the palms of your hands together really fast until they get hot. Then place your palms
over your closed eyes and allow the heat to relax your eyeballs.

Happiness?

Happiness

Only fools spend their time longing for happiness.
Wise ones work towards achieving it!
Attain it then. Let none be your cause of desire,
sorrow, anger, grief, or disappointment.

Good one to enlighten your day...

A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum:
Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?

I'm going to be honest of what I'm going to say here. I'm 25 this year. I'm very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above. You might say that I'm greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York. My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual salary? Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you? Among those I've dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden (?), $250k annual income is not enough.

I'm here humbly to ask a few questions:
1)
Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
2)
Which age group should I target?
3)
Why most wives of the riches is only average-looking? I've met a few girls who doesn't have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys
4)
How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (my target now is to get married)

Ms. Pretty

Here's a reply from a Wall Street Financial guy:

Dear Ms. Pretty,

I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyze your situation as a professional investor. My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone believes that I'm not wasting time here.

From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain. Put the details aside, what you're trying to do is an exchange of "beauty" and "money": Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square. However, there's a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can't be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It's not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worried 10 years later

By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a "trading position". If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term – same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or "leased". Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Health Remedy

I t works 100% of the time although the scientists at the Canada>Research council (who discovered it) aren't sure why.

To stop nighttime coughing in a child (or adult as we found out personally),
put Vicks Vaporub generously on the bottom of the feet at bedtime,
then cover with socks. Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will stop in
about 5 minutes and stay stopped for many, many hours of relief.
Works 100% of the time and is more effective in children than even
very strong prescription cough medicines. In addition it is extremely
soothing and comforting and they will sleep soundly.

It was a surprising finding and found to be more effective than
prescribed medicines for children at bedtime, in addition to have a
soothing and calming effect on sick children who then went on to sleep soundly.

An adult friend tried it on herself when she had a very deep constant
and persistent cough a few weeks ago and it worked 100%! She said that it
felt like a warm blanket had enveloped her, coughing stopped in a few
minutes and believe me, this was a deep, ( incredibly annoying!) every few
seconds uncontrollable cough, and she slept cough-free for hours every night
that she used it.

So, if you have kids/grandchildren, pass it on. If you end up sick,
try yourself and you will be absolutely amazed.

Oh so much to learn!

Hip hip hurray,
There are so much to learn about blogging...and I just did it. Created one all by myself even though I am not 'good' with the computer.
I always hear and read about blogging..?? and bloggers?? and wonders what are all these stuffs?
And still do not know what I can do with this blog? which I have created out of fun and curiosity.
So I gathered no harm done just to learn more and not to be left behind. There is a little bit of 'catching up' to do.
So much of satisfaction to be able to blog!
