Further episod..JULY PHOBIA

I do not consider myself a superstitious person. Neither am I very learned. Somehow, when reminiscing events/situations that had happened in the month of July are somewhat mostly downtrend. Like the plotted graph..the lowest point of the 12 months will always point to JULY.
All these that had happened may not necessarily be because of me, it is none of my undertakings, not my faults too. Nevertheless, these evolving the people I cared and concerned about and I could not help feeling a bit overzealous...

My eldest sister had been diagnosed with Parkinson disease. (Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that often impairs the sufferer's motor skills and speech, as well as other functions.) There were slight tremors with both her hands and legs. She had it under control with the help of prescribed medicines by her doctor. Even at age 66, She still managed to be employed on part time basis. However, earlier this month of JULY, she finally lost her job.....

Next, a series of sickness.. one after another falling sick. The bad virus had attacked us in our family one by one. Sore throat, flu coupled with cough and then high fever. The most serious one of all is my youngest son. Suffering from severe headache, painful sore throat, chilly spell and fever. He had not been able to attend school for the whole week. 2 trips to the doctor and was told that he is suffering tonsile. Symptoms of tonsillitis include a severe sore throat (which may be experienced as referred pain to the ears), painful/difficult swallowing, headache, fever and chills, and change in voice causing a "hot potato" voice. Tonsillitis is characterized by signs of red, swollen tonsils which may have a coating of white patches (i.e. pus). In severe cases, surgery may be recommended.
A even stronger type of antibiotics is then prescribed. I am in a dilemma whether to admit him to the hospital for further observation...I was the next victim..sore throat, headache, fever and chilly spells...Hm..... whats happening?? I was trying hard not to be infected. Somehow couldn't escape or is it plain experiencing the domino effects?? Or maybe blame it to JULY??A large sum of money is channeled out just on the family's medical bills in JULY.

While I am in the midst of wondering when it will end...my 2nd son told me his piece of bad news regarding his break off with his girl friend. Nevertheless, I am not too concerned over youngsters : break off or patched up in their relationship, which some people might regard it with the saying that it is like changing of pictures or clothes. Chinese used to say, "If you keep the mountain, there will be trees/woods available for fire" Comparing themselves as the mountain and the other genders are the woods/trees. I am not against them knowing members of the opposite sex, but do not agree to single out or to become 'steady boyfriend or girlfriend' at this young teenage age. I just feel that these youngsters today needed to be a bit more stable both emotionally, financially first. Building a stronger foundation within yourself academically is the more important factor that getting involved with relationship. When they are matured enough, able to understand the consequences of their undertakings, there will be so many opportunities out there.. and no need to be in a hurry to settle down with just one (not at this young age where both are still pursuing higher education.) Having said that, I reckon that this is part of growing up...a journey with choices to be made along the way...Too bad this happened in the month of JULY..

My sister-in-law had been trying to conceive to add just one more member (preferably daughter) since her son will be turning 6 years old come this August. So when the news of she was confirmed pregnant, everyone was glad and happy for her. However, this joy is short lived...during her second routine visit to her doctor, the ultra sound scan shows that there wasn't any heartbeat detected. This means to say that the fetus had failed to grow normally and not any bigger in size. This is the most devastating piece of news in again..JULY??

Tomorrow, it will be AUGUST..really looking forward to brand new month..and hopefully after the storms there will be silver lining...
